American Made Music

"When our country was in its infancy, pioneers loaded their belongings into covered wagons and ventured forth to find their dreams. Each night as they gathered the wagons together in a circle, they prepared their evening meals, set up campfires and settled down to enjoy precious time socializing with each other.

Many came from all walks of life and all areas of the globe. Sometimes one would break out a homemade instrument, a harmonica, a fiddle, or a guitar. They might even sing a little song, to make their journey more bearable. And as time went by there came to be a connection between the music and the campfires. Thus became the beginning of American Music and a lifestyle that has evolved to the modern RV that includes all the comforts of home on the road. And somewhere a spark ignited that forever links a passionate affiliation between the two that seems to be ingrained in us.

It was this strong affiliation between the music and camping lifestyle that developed into the idea for a new publication called, "American Made." Many campgrounds across the US offer entertainment on the weekends featuring popular local and regional groups. There has been a resurgence of this type of music, over the past several years. Country, Bluegrass, Folk and what have come to be known as "Americana" is progressively getting the interest of all generations from the elderly to college age. Music stores can hardly keep copies in stock.

We see it in coffee shops and small venues across the country. The popularity of music has grown Internationally. Even as far away as Europe, Japan, and Australia, American Made music has become extremely popular.

American Made will host a variety of articles from highlighting unique local venues, artists, rodeos, horse events, to camping lifestyles. It is all about bringing worlds of similar interest together. Feature articles will include, "Grandpa's Corner" stories submitted from readers about things that have happened either in the past or recent. Another feature will be entitled, "What's up in Matlock Ford" a fictitious town in Tennessee. Other features will include: a section devoted to events, list of venues, list of artists and entertainment , and more. The publication will be an online monthly tabloid, and will be accessible thru The Traveling Series. Plans are also being made for a printed version that will be distributed at coffee shops, music stores, campgrounds, RV dealerships, and various organizations throughout the US.
